One of my all-time favourite quotes is from Jay Shetty: “Your passion becomes a purpose when you use it to serve others.” And I feel like it really represents how I feel about Feu Vert/Green Light and doing my part to help others join this movement. There’s a lot of things in adult daily life that feel like obligations or unnecessary or a waste of time. But I have always felt passionate and motivated about what I’m doing when I use the service of others and healthy living as my compass. I believe that a healthy environment makes for healthy people. Volunteering, helping my community, bringing more good actions into the world is such a great way to find purpose, meaning and direction. This is especially true when you’re feeling moments of loneliness, self-doubt or indecision. You’ll never regret a day of volunteering when you find something that you’re interested and care about.
