In 2019, I saw Greta Thunberg.  She was amazing!  Here was a 15 year old girl taking action.  She spoke to hundreds of thousands of people and millions listened to her through videos and participated in Fridays for Future.  I thought to myself, surely, if she can mobilize millions of people to take part in Fridays for the Future, surely, I can gather a handful of people in Grand Falls to discuss climate issues.  

So I organized a meeting and I was surprised that 20 people showed up to a Town hall meeting to discuss a Green New Deal as a way to address climate change.  Most participants wanted to come back and work on solutions.  We have been meeting ever since.  Green Light has helped me feel empowered.  My anxiety levels have lowered and I can sleep through the night knowing that I am doing something concrete.
